Vacancy Summary: Depot Shift Manager - c£30k + Bens
Depot Shift Manager required for Global parcel distributor, exceptionally busy central LDN location, strong leadership and performance management skills required in a heavily compliance/quality driven environment. Reporting to the site manager, taking full ownership of all day shift site activity across both warehousing and transport operations.
Why Strive?
Despite two separate recruitment drives using both in-house resourcing and existing PSL suppliers, the ‘right’ candidate still eluded the client. The central LDN location, difficult balance of remit balanced against salary+bens, and a low level of available candidates due to forthcoming Olympic related temp roles really tested Strives search and selection process. Utilising a blend of web-based/social media searching and consultants own historic industry contacts produced the vital recommendations required, before whittling down to a workable shortlist to present to the client for first stage interviews.
Result?
Working closely with senior site management throughout the process gaining a crucial understanding of the true requirement produced a shortlist of only three, successfully interviewed and graduating from clients own assessment centre. The offer then made and accepted by a delighted candidate!!
