An old contact whom we have known for many years as a candidate now heads up a £400m business. He contacted Strive to call on our expertise to head up a fast moving relocation project.
The company were closing one site in the South East & moving across to the outskirts of London & as most senior managers were reluctant to move therefore Strive needed to act with speed & accuracy.
The mission was therefore was two fold – 1] Replace the gaps created by team members who weren’t moving & 2] recruit team members who could add new skills to the site. No simple task!
Our first priority was to recruit a General Manager who could start ASAP!, £75k basic + all the trimmings!. This was achieved in 3 weeks using our extensive contact base in the area as well as our multi-method. approach. With him in place we worked in partnership to create a full team including a Logistics systems IT manager, Transport manager, Warehouse Opps Manager & various shift managers.
This remains an ongoing assignment as the site goes live & continues to expand.
