Our client is a leading provider of Home and Garden products to the retail sector. We are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced Warehouse professional as they look to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader at their site in Leeds on a Monday to Thursday basis (1730hrs – 04000hrs).

This is a hands-on role, where you’ll lead a team of operatives, to ensure vehicles are loaded correctly, orders are picked accurately, and supplier deliveries are put away swiftly.

Key Accountabilities as Warehouse Team Leader:

Lead a small team of colleagues (5) covering a variety of warehouse tasks
Manage team performance and output
Ensure all vehicles are correctly loaded and paperwork is completed accurately
Organise replenishment of pick faces from supplier deliveries or overstock
Ensure attention to detail when checking off goods and supplier paperwork
Oversee the safe operation of various forklifts and pallet trucks
Check accuracy on a small number of customer orders
Promote safe working practices and take responsibility for all Health & Safety on shift
Responsible for site security and keyholding overnight

The Ideal Person for the Warehouse Team Leader:

Must have team leadership experience in a warehouse environment
Qualifications for Flexi / Pivot FLT or Counterbalance FLT desirable
Experience with PPT operations preferred
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Health & Safety conscious and proactive approach to tasks
Good communication and teamwork skills
Reliable with a strong work ethic, to get the best from your team
