Our client is a major distributor of FMCG goods. We are delighted to assist them in their search for a Warehouse Shift Manager to run their night shift at their new DC in West Midlands on permanent evenings/nights basis, 5:30pm - 3:30am.
Reporting into the Site Manager, you will have full accountability for all operational activities and management of your shift. The site operates on day 1 for day 2 basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementation of Health & Safety Practices and Procedures and Safe Systems of Work on the ShiftAssist the Site Manager in the setup of SOP’s to achieve all site KPI targetsSupport in building a highly effective night shift team
Manage effective allocation of Staff to various Warehouse duties to ensure completion of designated nightly duties
Ensure all goods received and sent out are checked for faults and inaccuracy and reported to the relevant parties where necessaryAssist in daily operational duties of the Warehouse loading and unloading at 'Goods-In’ and 'Goods-Out’ pointsEnsure all received stock is 'put-away’ in the correct locations within the Warehouse and all goods due for dispatch are processed, picked and loaded as per customer order and DC requirementsEnsure any movement of goods within the Warehouse environment is efficient and accurate according to instructionEnsure out-bound vehicles are loaded in a proper, safe, mannerEnsure documentation is correct to vehicle and load prior to vehicle release from site
The ideal Candidate for Warehouse Supervisor:
From a similarly fast paced environment, you will be a hands-on leader with excellent communication skillsExperienced with WMS and able to work within a paper-based distribution facilityExperience in setting up new processes and continuous improvement projectLarge emphasis on H&SAble to lead, motivate and drive teams forward
