Transport Carrier Manager

Our client is a leading E-Commerce Distributor in Herefordshire and we are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced Logistics professional in a brand new Transport Carrier Manager role, to be based at their head office in Moreton-on-Lugg, Herefordshire.
You will be to be responsible for managing the relationship of the external UK and European carriers. This position will play an effective role within the senior management team and work closely with the wider Logistics and Customer Service teams to ensure carrier performance and adherence within the agreed SLA's, along with the management and development of the Carrier Claims process.
As Transport Carrier Manager, you will be responsible for:
Day to Day Management of Carrier partnersConducting Monthly Business Reviews with carrier partners, along with direct liaison with carrier partners to report and resolve issuesReviewing the customer journey options with carriers and the wider business to improve communication and reduce customer contactWorking with the wider Logistics team on all projects and CI activity, owning all carrier objectives.Managing and developing the Carrier claims teamManaging and developing process improvements to optimise carrier compliance and claimsInvestigating new Carrier Service opportunities and negotiation of contractsProviding analysis and reporting of carriers performance and adherence , assessing contracts where appropriate and presenting options to the Operations Director and wider business.Undertaking ad-hoc analysis of performance.Analysing returns journey and present improvement recommendations.Reviewing and signing off of Carrier invoices weekly and monthly.Investigating carrier surcharges and working with the internal teams to mitigateReviewing of existing carrier services, and opportunities for cost savings and service enhancements and preparation of proposals for reviewBeing in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring that plans and forecasts are managed with carriers to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.Providing Regular and Peak Forecasting to carriers for planning
