Quality Engineer- c£30K + excellent bens + prospects
Monday - Friday
Location : Penryn, Cornwall
Our client:
An internationally renowned engineering company who continue to grow at a rapid pace. As part of their expansion & process improvement there now exists a new role for an experienced Quality Engineer.
Role Summary:
Developing and implementing quality standards.Developing and implementing quality control systems.Monitoring and analysing quality performance.Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.Developing corrective actions (root cause), solutions, and improvements.Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.Liaising with customers, ensuring issues/enquiries seen through to completion
Key Characteristics:
Fully compliant with health and safety guidelines, it is at the forefront of our business.Flexible, able to cover 2 sites in order to support the function, primarily based at the Penryn site.Problem solver, with a desire to create long term solutions.Ability to assimilate with various teams (Operations, HSEQ and Planning).Appetite for development and to develop others.Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to the environment.Confident IT user, especially Microsoft suite.Eye for detail, only accepting the right first time approach.Strong skills in maths & science.Able to adopt and demonstrate the company’s core values.
Qualifications/Skills:
Strong knowledge of BSI audit standards and experience of conducting these.Degree in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering preferred.ASQ certification preferred.Experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar.Experience using QA software tools and processes.Background in manufacturing an advantage.
