Our client is a niche 3PL, specialising in the distribution of multi-temp product to Major Retailers. Due to an unprecedented growth, we are delighted to assist them in their search for an Operations Shift Manager at their site in Crewe, Staffordshire on a 4on, 4off basis (7pm-7am).
Reporting into the Night Operations Manager, you will be working across both Warehouse and Transport, managing drivers and ensuring all inbound and outbound product is received and despatched efficiently and effectively.
Main Responsibilities as Operations Shift Manager:
Management of Operations team reporting into the role (Warehouse and Transport)Support the Nights Operation Manager to ensure the safe and efficient running of the site including transport office, warehouse, and yard through H&S Inspections, random checks of processes, and paperwork and folders.Ensuring that non-conformances noted on external and internal audits are rectified in a professional and timely manner and requests from Management, Customers, Suppliers, and staff are dealt with without delay.Overseeing general administrative duties including PODs, returns, and discrepanciesLiaise with Customer Service Team ensuring that all returns and discrepancies are recorded and notified.Control of returnable; pallets, trays & dolliesMaximise operational efficienciesAdhere to and enforce all Company policy and processesManaging and monitoring service levels in line with metrics and SLAsEffectively manage rota, absence, holidays, communicating with colleaguesObjective setting and driver performance of teams; 1:1s, disciplinaries, absence managementControl of Warehouse Operations ensuring all products are receipted and despatched in a professional and timely manner and in accordance with company procedures, HACCP, and food safety requirements.

Track record in a similar Warehouse / Operational environment (Warehouse and or Transport)Excellent Communication skillsStrong personality to challenge the status quoDemonstrable ability to lead and manage a highly diverse teamExcellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
