Maintenance Engineer (Nights) – Electrical bias

Our client is a Global PLC and we are delighted to assist them in their search for an experience Engineer as they look to recruit a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) at their site in Portbury, Bristol on a permanent night shift of 2200hrs – 0600hrs, Monday to Friday.

 

This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer.

 

The Role of Maintenance Engineer:

Working in a unique environment you will as part of a small team using your experience to resolve breakdowns, reduce downtime and improve plant reliabilityMonitoring and responsibility of all plant and equipment on site

Experience of performing planned and preventative maintenanceRequired to work overtime when required and be part of the on-call rotaTo liaise with sub-contractors and external suppliersSome working in cold store temperatures will be required and appropriate PPE will be providedWorking at heights when required

 

The ideal Candidate for Maintenance Engineer:

Must be electrically qualified with mechanical experienceEnsure compliance and working with health and safety in mind at all timesKnowledge of PLC controlled conveyor/crane systems (preferable but not essential)Ability to work in temperatures as low as -18 Celsius in cold storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
